The Magic of Twilight

Hi everyone I’m enjoying this moment alone outside. It’s twilight.

This is my favorite time of the day because it’s a moment where the light is actually the hardest to measure. This gets us in touch with the immeasurable portion of ourselves: The infinite, the soul, what’s rich and expansive.

It’s what we lose sense of during the day because the light is so bright. Everything’s so clear. We know what we’re doing, we pretend to know what we’re doing, or we try to know what we’re doing. We’re trying to figure it all out. And then this moment comes towards the end of the day where “our trying to work for the known” is released  and we can expand into the unknown. This is a chance where our soul can come up and the thinking mind that’s trying to accomplish all these things can let go. And if we really give ourselves over to the moment, to the sun setting and the moon rising, we can begin to feel a sense of peace that we were longing for all day.

If you’re not a regular meditator that’s okay. At the very least though, I highly recommend going outside during twilight and just have a moment of silence to yourself. It can work wonders.
